Oma and Opa visit

My parents came for a visit in June. They spent some time in northern Germany and in Italy and then came to Munich for two weeks. They helped me while Simon was in South Africa for the World Cup (that is another post). It was nice to have them here and Iknow that my children miss them. The first week I was really sick and it was nice to have my children entertained and the everyday chores done, thanks Mom and Dad. We also had awful weather the first week they were here, it rained almost everyday. The second week we were here we went out and explored Munich a little bit.

Hirschgarten

This is an awesome park here in Munich that has a deer reserve. You can feed the deer and they also have a great playground. Auburn had a great time and always ask to feed the deer now.

We walked around downtown Munich and were there for the big announcement of Munich's bid for the 2018 Olypmics. (Yes it is June and my children are wearing fleece, it was really cold)

Auburn is tucking my Dad in for a nap. She likes to have her bears right next to her when she sleeps and thought my Dad would also need the bears for a nap, plus the princess blanket. He fell asleep on the couch and started snoring one day. She ran to tell me "Opa making noise".

Auburn had several trips to the park with Oma and Opa.

Conley enjoyed being held and snuggled all the time!
Thanks for coming Oma and Opa!!!! We miss you already!

Oma and Opa look marvelous!

Snoring is an indicator that people are intelligent, insightful and compassionate, and that they have a propensity for seeking out equally talented partners and for siring superior offspring. Most Opas are able to keep their snoring a secret by retiring AFTER the younger people in the household are already asleep.

Grandchildren who stumble across this secret prior to their second birthdays are prone to be spontaneous, fair-minded and artistically gifted. Later in life, people come from near and far to seek their wisdom.

Is that what they are being called? I actually knew what that one meant because a lady in our ward (who served a mission in Germany) has her grandkids call her Oma. Grandparents are really priceless!!!

We found out last past week that we are expecting .... a baby boy! We are super excited! I had a feeling ever since we found out that I was pregnant that would be having a boy. Auburn came to the ultrasound with us and repeatedly said "baby" while we looked at the screen. We are excited for her to have a little brother. We just need to start thinking of baby boy names ....

Auburn's blessing

On Sunday, November 23rd, Simon was able to bless our precious little Auburn. Grandpa and Grandma Hill were able to be here for the blessing. I know that Papi and Grandma Little wished they could of been here as well. We had an earlier visit from the Littles when Auby was just a few weeks old. Grandma Hill made her beautiful dress and Grandma Perkins made her blanket. This weekend we had our first snowfall. The temperature was frigid and there was still snow on the ground. It still turned out to be a wonderful day. Auburn was her perfect little self. She didn't cry at all and her Daddy gave her a beautiful blessing. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!
