This summer is going to be a big one for us... new baby and move back to the US.

We are looking forward to the arrival of our baby girl.  My stomach gets lots of loves and kisses from Auburn and Conley.  They have a plan on how to help me when she comes.  Auburn has offered to fold all of her clothes and help change diapers.  Conley is going to get me new diapers and throw away the dirty ones.  They both want to bring her toys and make sure she has her binkie.  I think it is very sweet how excited they are and hope their excitement will continue when she is here.

I have been trying to get things done slowly for our move.  I have sorted through every closet and drawer and have gotten rid of a lot of things already.  I have mixed feelings about leaving.  Some days I cannot wait to go.  Those are probably the days that I have to walk to the grocery store in the pouring rain for the fourth time in a week.  Other days I think about all of the wonderful opportunities and growth that our family has had here in Munich and get sad that our time is over.  Auburn heard me comment to someone how I feel happy and sad that we are moving.  She asked, "why?" and I explained my feelings.  When I asked her how she felt, she said "only happy."  We have been talking up the USA to our kids for awhile now and they are so excited to move back, especially to visit libraries that have an endless supply of books in English.

As our time draws near, we took a day to be tourists again in Munich and see some things that we have never gotten around to visiting.

Isar River
This river runs right through Munich.  I have taken the kids in summer, but Simon has never been.  The kids were thrilled to throw rocks in to the water.  This picture Conley is doing the no look throw.

Asam Kirche
We have been to this church before, but it was on our way to another place so we stopped to show the kids.

Alte Rathaus
I still can't believe that this is our "downtown".

There was a lot going on in at Marienplatz that day and they had a hard time looking at the camera.

Theatinerkirche
We have walked past this church a million times, but have never gone inside.  Now we have.

The surfers at Englisher Garten.  There is a constant wave at this part of the river and there are surfers there year round.  Simon and the kids have never been.  The kids were fascinated, but asked why they weren't at the beach.

So, where in the US are you moving? Back to Florida, or some other adventure? You may have posted about it and I missed it. Good luck!

That looks like a great time! Good luck with getting everything ready to move! I'm not pregnant and packing is no fun. I hope it all goes smoothly.

It's a ......

We found out last past week that we are expecting .... a baby boy! We are super excited! I had a feeling ever since we found out that I was pregnant that would be having a boy. Auburn came to the ultrasound with us and repeatedly said "baby" while we looked at the screen. We are excited for her to have a little brother. We just need to start thinking of baby boy names ....

Auburn's blessing

On Sunday, November 23rd, Simon was able to bless our precious little Auburn. Grandpa and Grandma Hill were able to be here for the blessing. I know that Papi and Grandma Little wished they could of been here as well. We had an earlier visit from the Littles when Auby was just a few weeks old. Grandma Hill made her beautiful dress and Grandma Perkins made her blanket. This weekend we had our first snowfall. The temperature was frigid and there was still snow on the ground. It still turned out to be a wonderful day. Auburn was her perfect little self. She didn't cry at all and her Daddy gave her a beautiful blessing. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!
