walking

Walking has been scary for our little one. For some reason she has really been afraid of walking without holding on to anything. She took her first step in Thailand at 14 months, she then refused to take another until we were in England at 16 months. Later that day when we were in the Munich airport she finally took 5 in a row. Since then she has only taken a few steps at a time on her own. She loves walking holding our hands and with her doll stroller.
This week, on the day she turned 17 months, she overcame her fear and just took off. We pulled out the camcorder to get 5-6 steps on tape, but she ended up walking all over the apartment on her own. She was so proud of herself. She would walk from Simon to me just giggling and smiling. I am so proud of her!!! and my pregnant back is very grateful!

I'm so glad to hear this. Emily walked early so Gianna has been a bit different...and seems to have the same issues as Auburn. I keep telling myself not to think about it, but she really would be happier if she could run around with Emily.
Yea! for Auburn and your back.

We found out last past week that we are expecting .... a baby boy! We are super excited! I had a feeling ever since we found out that I was pregnant that would be having a boy. Auburn came to the ultrasound with us and repeatedly said "baby" while we looked at the screen. We are excited for her to have a little brother. We just need to start thinking of baby boy names ....

Happy Half-Birthday Auburn!

Today I am 6 months old. Mommy says that I am growing up way too fast! I weigh 7.55 kilos and I am 65.5 centimeters long. I can roll over both ways now. I can sit up for a little bit without help, but I still fall over sometimes. I put everything in my mouth. I just want to see how it tastes. I am trying a lot of new food, but my favorite is still milk! I like to go for walks, play with my toys and rock out with Daddy. I like to smile and laugh. A very nice lady in our ward my this dress for me. It is a traditional Bavarian dress called a dirndl. Don't I look pretty? Well, I have to get back to playing. Cheers!
