long overdue post

I just realized that I haven't posted for a month. It has been a busy one. We just return from a vacation to the US. We had a family reunion with Simon's family. It just so happened that my cousin was getting married the week after and all of my family was coming into town so I decided to stay an extra week. Simon had to get back to work, so I flew solo with the kids home. All 20 hours of travel. I was so nervous about it, but the kids were angels. I really felt everyone's prayers with me. If I could just get Conley back to his schedule that we would be great.

I'll post some pictures of the Utah trip another post. I still have to sort through them.

But in the meantime here are a few pictures of some events of April....

The Friday before we left, Simon totally surprised me. He took the day off and had passes to the Munich Zoo. It was a perfect day. Auburn was so excited about everything and Conley seemed to enjoy himself as well.

Every Wednesday we go to this indoor playplace with friends. The last one was in April and this is Conley riding the car. My kids love this place!

So we were in Utah for most of April and our travel time was about the same duration. Kind-of funny, isn't it? :)
Hope you all get back into a good routine soon!

Mexico - Mayan ruins II

Simon's parents had to get back to their mission in Mexico City and we continued on our trip.  We saw a lot of ruins, 9 in total.  This is the next post of Mayan ruins.  It was actually great for the kids as well.  They could run around, climb and explore. It was interesting to see the differences at each sight.  The kids had their favorites by the end of the trip.  We also taught them a little bit about Mayan culture. Edzna   These well preserved carvings were great.       Palanque These were probably my favorite ruins.  It is set in the jungle and it felt very peaceful there. It is hard to believe that only 10 percent of the structures are actually uncovered.  The rest are still covered by the jungle. some well preserved carvings waterfalls in the middle of the ruins The Palace   Temple of Inscription   The kids had a great time climbing up and exploring...
