Auburn update

Auburn has changed so much in the last month. I can't believe that in a week she will be 10 months old. The time has gone so quickly.

For 3 months, the only word we heard was "dada", and she finally learned how to say "mama". Although she usually only says "mama" when she is upset or wants something., and we hear a lot of "dada" when she is happy.

She has finally figured out how to use her legs to help her crawl. For awhile she would drag herself across the floor with her arms. She loves the freedom and chance to explore that crawling gives her.

Auburn loves to clap her hands! She is always giving her self a round of applause. It mainly happens when she is eating, especially if she is feeding herself. Sometimes Simon gets a round of applause when he gets home from work.

She will give kisses and thinks is is pretty funny. Her kisses are usually more of an open mouth slobber. We love them though! She also thinks is it funny to make noises when we go over cobblestone in her stroller, so that her voice will vibrate.

We just love our little girl! Here are some of the latest pictures. I am a little late in putting them up. These were taken last month.

I think she and Annabelle would be great friends... they seem to be "in" to the same things. And yes, we love slobbery kisses too!

P.S. I went private with my blog and didn't have your email address to invite you. Email me (stacy.pettersen@gmail.com) and I'll send you the link!

I love the first picture with her ability to turn her tongue over. That's talent (and apparently genetic, so who gets to claim that trait?)!

Mexico - Mayan ruins II

Simon's parents had to get back to their mission in Mexico City and we continued on our trip.  We saw a lot of ruins, 9 in total.  This is the next post of Mayan ruins.  It was actually great for the kids as well.  They could run around, climb and explore. It was interesting to see the differences at each sight.  The kids had their favorites by the end of the trip.  We also taught them a little bit about Mayan culture. Edzna   These well preserved carvings were great.       Palanque These were probably my favorite ruins.  It is set in the jungle and it felt very peaceful there. It is hard to believe that only 10 percent of the structures are actually uncovered.  The rest are still covered by the jungle. some well preserved carvings waterfalls in the middle of the ruins The Palace   Temple of Inscription   The kids had a great time climbing up and exploring...

Sienna Corinne

Sienna Corinne was born at 8:02 am at the Rotkreuzklinikum in Munich.   She weighed 3.7 kilos and was 52 cm long.  She is incredibly sweet and a very peaceful baby.  Auburn and Conley are in love with her. She has been smothered with kisses by them and everyone in the family wants to snuggle with her.
