Bangkok

I am finally getting around to putting up pictures from our trip to Thailand. We have been home for almost a month, and you would think that with my husband traveling every week to Italy for work that I would of gotten it down already.
We had a fabulous time in Thailand! It was so different from anything that we have ever done. We were gone for about two and half weeks. We flew into Bankok from Munich with a stop in Abu Dhabi. Bangkok was our homebase for this trip. We went to Chaing Mai, Krabi and Cambodia, but I will be posting those pictures later.
Auburn did great on the trip. She did have a hard time on the first leg of the flight to Bangkok, but after that she was great. We found that she loves plain steamed rice. I always tried to sneak in veggies or some meat. She also adjusted to the time change pretty quickly as well. The first couple of nights we were all awake at 2:00am, but we finally got things turned around. Auburn was a star in Thailand, not as much as Egypt. We had people asking if they could take pictures of her. We were all healthy! I was a little worried being pregnant and with Auburn, but we did great!
This post has Bangkok and our day trip to Ayuthaya. I always end up putting pictures in the wrong order so our trip to Ayuthaya is first and then Bangkok.

Ayuthaya
We took a day trip from Bangkok to this city. The city is famous for the ancient ruins. We had a nice day wandering through the city from Wat to Wat. Here is Auby showing off her shades.
Bangkok
We toured the Grand Palace, Dusit park and a lot of really cool Wats. We also went to a snake farm where they take venom to make antivenom, some cool markets, and Ancient City.

The food was seriously amazing! We ate so much Pad Thai, spring rolls and other yummy food.

Mexico - Mayan ruins II

Simon's parents had to get back to their mission in Mexico City and we continued on our trip.  We saw a lot of ruins, 9 in total.  This is the next post of Mayan ruins.  It was actually great for the kids as well.  They could run around, climb and explore. It was interesting to see the differences at each sight.  The kids had their favorites by the end of the trip.  We also taught them a little bit about Mayan culture. Edzna   These well preserved carvings were great.       Palanque These were probably my favorite ruins.  It is set in the jungle and it felt very peaceful there. It is hard to believe that only 10 percent of the structures are actually uncovered.  The rest are still covered by the jungle. some well preserved carvings waterfalls in the middle of the ruins The Palace   Temple of Inscription   The kids had a great time climbing up and exploring...

Sienna Corinne

Sienna Corinne was born at 8:02 am at the Rotkreuzklinikum in Munich.   She weighed 3.7 kilos and was 52 cm long.  She is incredibly sweet and a very peaceful baby.  Auburn and Conley are in love with her. She has been smothered with kisses by them and everyone in the family wants to snuggle with her.
