Miami II

Here are some of the things we did in Miami to keep us busy....

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum
Simon and I were totally bored here, but the kids thought it was the greatest thing ever.  Afterwards they kept asking us to go and we overheard them discussing it at night when they were suppose to be sleeping. The train that they are standing in front of carried a few Presidents of the United States.

They had a great area set up with tons of Thomas train sets and the kids spent a good deal of time playing there.

We spent a lot of time at parks and found new and cool ones all over town.  I have to say that playgrounds are better in the US and much safer than the ones here in Germany.

The kids are running and skipping down the hill.

shopping at Publix, the best grocery store ever

My little construction workers

They had tons of Teddy Bears from all over the world.

Because it was close to Christmas they had lots of art activities for the kids.

Santa came at the end.  Conley wanted nothing to do with him until the camera was put away and then he gave Santa a hug.

We also made a super quick visit to Jacksonville and spent the time talking instead of taking pictures.  Our kids think Jacksonville is wonderful and can't wait to go back.

Mexico - Mayan ruins II

Simon's parents had to get back to their mission in Mexico City and we continued on our trip.  We saw a lot of ruins, 9 in total.  This is the next post of Mayan ruins.  It was actually great for the kids as well.  They could run around, climb and explore. It was interesting to see the differences at each sight.  The kids had their favorites by the end of the trip.  We also taught them a little bit about Mayan culture. Edzna   These well preserved carvings were great.       Palanque These were probably my favorite ruins.  It is set in the jungle and it felt very peaceful there. It is hard to believe that only 10 percent of the structures are actually uncovered.  The rest are still covered by the jungle. some well preserved carvings waterfalls in the middle of the ruins The Palace   Temple of Inscription   The kids had a great time climbing up and exploring...

Sienna Corinne

Sienna Corinne was born at 8:02 am at the Rotkreuzklinikum in Munich.   She weighed 3.7 kilos and was 52 cm long.  She is incredibly sweet and a very peaceful baby.  Auburn and Conley are in love with her. She has been smothered with kisses by them and everyone in the family wants to snuggle with her.
