hello third trimester

We are home after a month long adventure.  I have lots and lots to blog about, but I need to get caught up on the rest of my life and laundry first.  And I'm going to let Simon sort through the thousands of pictures.

I have reached the third trimester in my pregnancy.  This pregnancy has been different.  We have been away from home for almost half of the pregnancy so far and I can finally start a routine now that I am six months along.  I am feeling pretty good, especially since I started taking lots of iron.  It makes a big difference.  I know I have backaches, swelling, heartburn and lots of contractions ahead of me, but it's okay.  We have been wanting to add to our family for awhile now.  It took time, some heartache, and tears.  I am so grateful to be pregnant and we are so excited to meet this little girl in a few months!

This picture is 26 weeks along.... It was taken in the Sahara desert.... I'll explain later.

Simon made a video of our trip to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. Since I haven't gotten around to posting about the rest of our trip (that happened a year ago), I am just going to post the link to the movie on youtube.  Hope you enjoy!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLnUgh7HfbM

Ich bin schwanger

Translation: I am pregnant! We are so excited to be parents again. I have been blessed to feel pretty good through the first trimester. The offical due date for our little one is May 12th. It is the day before our 4th anniversary. We don't really think that Auburn understands what is going on. When we say baby, she gets her baby doll. Although she does point to the ultrasound pictures and says baby, which I think is super sweet!

Mexico - Mayan ruins II

Simon's parents had to get back to their mission in Mexico City and we continued on our trip.  We saw a lot of ruins, 9 in total.  This is the next post of Mayan ruins.  It was actually great for the kids as well.  They could run around, climb and explore. It was interesting to see the differences at each sight.  The kids had their favorites by the end of the trip.  We also taught them a little bit about Mayan culture. Edzna   These well preserved carvings were great.       Palanque These were probably my favorite ruins.  It is set in the jungle and it felt very peaceful there. It is hard to believe that only 10 percent of the structures are actually uncovered.  The rest are still covered by the jungle. some well preserved carvings waterfalls in the middle of the ruins The Palace   Temple of Inscription   The kids had a great time climbing up and exploring...
